COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY ASSISTANT

 

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for providing strategic planning support across all media channels (offline and online). Candidate must have solid foundation of marketing and media. Experience with digital and traditional media planning is a plus. The person who holds this position is expected to have a passion for learning and creating new and innovative campaigns for clients.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage media flowcharts/plans
  • Manage invoicing and trafficking creative materials
  • Cultivate relationships with media vendors and partners
  • Negotiate rates and liaising with media vendors on daily basis
  • Work closely with analytics team to review and analyze campaign results
  • Assist in developing, measuring, and implements media campaigns

 

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Ad agency or media internship/experience
  • BS/BA degree
  • Experience with exposure to digital search tools/methodologies (Google Analytics, Facebook advertising interface, may have managed online ad campaigns)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on strong Excel/Power Point skills
  • Dependable, proactive, and detail oriented
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and set priorities
  • A strong sense of taking the initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of media math (CPM, CPC, etc) a plus
  • Knowledge of DoubleClick Ad Serving a plus

TV MEDIA BUYER

Position Summary:

The TV Media Buyer is responsible of the overall execution and management of our client’s TV and DRTV media efforts.  Encompassing all activities from initial buy assessment, negotiation and ongoing buy management and final reporting and reconciliation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for negotiating, planning, and managing successful advertising television campaigns to secure optimal schedules
  • Analyze media campaigns and their results to ensure that client budgets and GRP/Impression goals are consistently met
  • Manage day-to-day account activities and ensure all buying guidelines are met (creative, dayparts, program restrictions, etc)
  • Negotiate with cable networks for creative and custom added value integration opportunities based on yearly upfront spend
  • Work collaboratively with planners and/or agency/client planning personnel
  • Develop and maintain network relationships
  • Run and prepare weekly client reporting of clearance and station performance
  • Responsible for TV Commercial traffic and ensuring spots arrive at all purchased stations/networks
  • Review, reconcile, and approve media invoices in a timely fashion
  • Assist in developing and delivering agency-wide presentations (Town Halls, Internship Trainings, New Employee Onboardings, etc)
  • Train and oversee Assistant Buyer on media fundamentals and policies/procedures

 

Core Qualifications for this Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 3 years TV media buying experience (national cable/broadcast (scatter and DRTV), with syndication and local buying a plus)
  • Knowledge of CORE Media Systems, a plus
  • Working knowledge of Upfronts and Innovation-forward tactics (Programmatic, VOD, Addressable, etc)
  • A strong understanding of all components of buy development with a solid understanding of DR media
  • Dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, with excellent attendance history
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and set priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong knowledge of MS Office Suite

SEM ASSISTANT

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Account Managers on all Search Engine Marketing Campaigns
  • Assist in the management of Paid Search Campaigns on Google and Bing, including:
    • Performance monitoring, analysis and reporting
    • Budget tracking and recommendations
  • Create ad copy and perform keyword research, analysis and optimizations
  • Manage and track spend across all Paid Search campaigns
  • Help achieve targeted ROI and reach KPI goals for SEM campaigns
  • Keep up to date with paid search best practices, bid management systems, keyword development tools and industry research

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel skills are crucial
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and highly detail-oriented habits
  • 4-year college degree; REQUIRED
  • 1-year SEM experience preferred
  • Google Ads experience is a plus. Google Certified Professional preferred.
  • Experience optimizing SEM campaigns through ad copy, keywords, geo-targeting and landing page optimizations preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact and manage expectations of clients, internal departments and management
  • Excellent data analysis skills and strong computer proficiency required
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and ability to meet deadlines
  • Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills
